We have a special event coming up on Saturday 1st August at 4pm.
Life Rites Grief Ritual
We gather to honour your person and your passage through grief.
This is a moment of ritual for our community. From our monthly grief circles, we found a desire for ritual, to express what can’t be said in words, and this is our response.
We welcome you to experience rituals of cleansing, healing and release, that echo the passage of grief in a linear and circular progression; the rite of separation, transition and incorporation.
As we enter into the evening, we will bathe our hands in rose water and be washed by the smoke of frankinsense and juniper .
Chantel and Andrew will provide live music to support the ritual throughout.
Add a photo of your person to a collective altar (if you wish to), and speak their name as we enter into a sacred space to privately reflect upon our journey with grief.
This will be a safe space where you are welcome to be you. A space where no words are needed.
Rite of Separation - The rupture in the lives of the people who survive a death.
Transition - Liminal space of change. We are not who we were, and not yet who we might become. How do we reorganise, reshape and integrate this rupture and
upheaval into the fabric of our lives?
Re-incorporation into your new reality. Coming to re-know yourself in your new reality.
Tea and quiet time will follow for those who wish to stay for a cuppa.
This event is free, and you do not need to have participated in this kind of ritual before.
We welcome you.
