Funeral Ceremony for David Farrugia
Funeral Ceremony for
David Farrugia
On Wednesday 30th April, Dave, my beautiful husband left us, passing away peacefully at home, Bruce rarely leaving Dave’s side in the last 72 hours Dave was with us.
Tuesday 13th May, 2025
North Hall
Pinegrove Memorial Park
Kington Street, Minchinbury NSW 2770
11am (11.30am funeral ceremony commences) – 12.30pm
I will provide a link for the webcast of the funeral service
To farewell the most beautiful man I've ever known, please join us for a drink and bite to eat at The Glasshouse, drinks and food are covered.
Wake & Celebration of David’s life:
The Glasshouse, Toongabbie RSL
108 Best Rd, Seven Hills NSW 2148
Tuesday 13th May 12.30pm
Flowers:
Dave had run his own landscape gardening business successfully for a dozen years, bringing colour to the world. If anyone would like to send flowers please send them to the Pinegrove Memorial Park, my only request being “can those flowers be bright to celebrate Dave’s life”.
Any flowers sent that aren’t included in the cremation, will be delivered to the nursing home Dave’s mum now lives in, in Sydney. Dave wasn’t well enough to be able to fly up to Sydney, and his mum wasn’t capable of coming down to Melbourne, it’s fucking horrible that he didn’t get to say goodbye to his very lovely mum. Hopefully the flowers bring some colour to the world of Lena and the other residents of the nursing home.
Donations to charity:
We spent a lot of time at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre where Dave received chemo, radio and immuno therapies. This is an amazing place.
It would be gratefully appreciated if you could RSVP, so the events aren’t under-catered.
Huge thanks,
Stephen
