Michael Holland Comrade March: Following on from the ceremony, we’ll march together down Hugo St (approx. 200m). Michael wanted to lead the May Day march this year. We’ll create our own march in his honour. There’ll be a banner to lead the procession. Please feel free to make your own sign or placard. It might include a photo, a memory, a message for Mike, a quote or a slogan. We’ll also have some blank placards and signs you can write on at Redfern Community Centre on the day.
Party at the Eveleigh: The March will conclude at the Eveleigh Hotel, where we will continue sharing stories, enjoy some music, have a nibble and drinks until 2pm. The Eveleigh Hotel is at 158 Abercrombie Street, Redfern.
Dress: Come as you. We welcome colour and comfortable shoes. As we will be marching outdoors, if there is a chance of rain, be sure to bring your rain gear.
In Lieu of Flowers: We welcome you to donate to Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, who provided incredible care in the final month.
